Dallas–Fort Worth has become one of the main destinations for corporate relocations. The Dallas Regional Chamber reports that six Fortune 500 companies have moved their headquarters to DFW since 2016, including Charles Schwab, CBRE, Jacobs, AECOM and McKesson. Its largest employers include American Airlines, AT&T, Texas Instruments, Lockheed Martin, Baylor Scott & White Health and UT Southwestern Medical Center.

Unusually, finance and insurance and professional services are tied as the metro’s largest private sectors by output, with manufacturing, wholesale and retail next. The chamber’s target sectors include aviation and aerospace, financial activities, high-tech, life sciences, logistics and semiconductors. Organizations such as the DEC Network and the Texas Research Alliance support the startup and research community.

The metro’s largest private sectors by share of 2024 GDP (excluding real estate and government), and how Salesforce applies to each.

Finance and insurance

9.6% of metro GDP

Banks, brokerages, insurers and payments companies need relationship data, onboarding workflows and supervised communications. We implement Financial Services Cloud and build partner and agent portals for payments firms.

Professional, scientific, and technical services

9.6% of metro GDP

Relocated headquarters bring large professional services, engineering and real-estate services firms. Their Salesforce needs center on pursuit pipelines, client relationships across offices and resource planning.

Manufacturing

8.9% of metro GDP

Aerospace, semiconductor and industrial manufacturers need long sales cycles, service contracts and ERP data connected in Salesforce, and often field service for installed equipment.

DFW’s logistics role supports a large wholesale sector. Distributors benefit most from Salesforce connected to order and inventory systems, with portals for customers who want to self-serve.

Common Challenges

Salesforce problems we expect to see here.

Based on the industry mix above and our work in those industries, not on inside knowledge of any Dallas–Fort Worth company.

Relocations and consolidations

Companies moving or consolidating headquarters often inherit several CRMs and processes at once. Rationalizing them into one Salesforce org is a common first project.

Scaling fast

Fast-growing firms outgrow starter CRMs and spreadsheet processes. The risk is rebuilding the same mess in Salesforce, which a clear data model and scope avoid.

Agents and partners outside the company

Payments, insurance and distribution businesses often sell through independent agents. They need portals and permissions that give partners what they need and nothing more.

FAQ

Salesforce consulting in Dallas–Fort Worth: questions.

Do you have an office in Dallas or Fort Worth?

No. Our only office is in St. Louis. We serve DFW clients remotely and travel to the Metroplex for workshops, go-lives and training when that helps the project.

Is a St. Louis Salesforce partner practical for a DFW company?

Yes. We are in the same Central time zone and a short flight away, and most Salesforce delivery happens over video regardless of where the partner is based.

Do you build portals for agents and partners?

Yes. For a payments ISO we replaced two legacy systems with Sales, Service and Experience Cloud and gave 60+ independent agents a self-service portal.

Can you help after a headquarters move or merger?

Yes. Combining CRMs and processes is a migration and integration project. We start by agreeing on one data model and a system of record for each piece of data.
