Abstrakt Solutions is a Salesforce Consulting Partner headquartered in St. Louis that serves Greater Boston companies remotely and on site. We implement, integrate, optimize and manage Salesforce across eastern Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire, and we do not have a Boston office.
Where we are: Boston is a short flight from St. Louis. We work on Central Time, one hour behind, and schedule sessions within Eastern business hours.
Figures cover the Boston-Cambridge-Newton, MA-NH Metro Area (MA–NH). Sources are listed at the bottom of this page.
Professional, scientific and technical services make up about a sixth of Greater Boston’s output, one of the highest shares of any large metro, reflecting its concentration of research, engineering, software and consulting firms. State Street, Vertex, Liberty Mutual, Wayfair, Eversource and American Tower are headquartered in Boston, and Mass General Brigham is by far the largest employer in Massachusetts.
The area has roughly 30 colleges and universities, including Harvard and Northeastern, and Kendall Square in Cambridge is the center of its life-sciences and technology economy. MassRobotics, MassChallenge and the Cambridge Innovation Center support startups, and the LEGO Group and Dynatrace have recently moved headquarters operations to Boston. MassEcon, the state’s economic development partner, targets life sciences, information technology, financial services, aerospace and robotics, advanced manufacturing and clean tech.
The metro’s largest private sectors by share of 2024 GDP (excluding real estate and government), and how Salesforce applies to each.
Research organizations, software companies and consultancies need pipeline, account management and delivery tracking, and many are scaling from startup tools to Salesforce.
Asset managers, custody banks and insurers need relationship views, compliant communications and service across large client bases.
Academic medical centers and health systems use Salesforce for patient engagement, referral management, research recruitment and service, with privacy designed in.
Biotech, medical-device and robotics manufacturers need key-account, field and service processes that fit regulated or highly technical products.
Regional target sectors: Life Sciences, Information Technologies, Financial Services, Aerospace, Defense, Robotics, Advanced Manufacturing, Clean, Green & Blue Technologies (MassEcon)
Based on the industry mix above and our work in those industries, not on inside knowledge of any Boston company.
Fast-growing biotech and software companies outgrow spreadsheets and starter CRMs. The right time to set up Salesforce properly is before the commercial team triples.
Selling instruments, research services or therapies involves technical buyers and long cycles, which standard sales stages do not capture well.
Research, healthcare and financial organizations need clean, auditable data, which makes data quality and governance part of every project.
A Salesforce implementation partner turns your sales, service and marketing processes into a working Salesforce org.
A Salesforce migration moves records, relationships and history from an old system into Salesforce.
Salesforce integration connects Salesforce to other business systems so data moves automatically instead of being re-keyed.
Salesforce managed services is an ongoing arrangement where a consulting partner runs and improves your Salesforce org for you.
A Salesforce health check is a structured review of an org covering security and access, data quality, automation, customization and technical debt, integrations, reporting and user adoption.
Salesforce optimization is the work of improving an existing org so people use it and trust its data.
Salesforce implementations usually fail for a handful of reasons: requirements that were never agreed, a design built around the tool instead of the process, poor data migration, too much custom code, no owner on the client side and too little training.
