The short version
- AIforce is Salesforce's name for bringing Salesforce data, apps and workflows to wherever people work, governed by the permissions you already set in Salesforce.
- It has three parts: Claudeforce (Salesforce inside Claude, in beta), Slackforce (Salesforce inside Slack, listed as generally available in October 2026) and Agentforce Coworker (an AI teammate inside Salesforce, generally available).
- Because each surface respects Salesforce access, your sharing model and field-level security become the main control over what AI can see and do.
The three parts of AIforce
Claudeforce puts Salesforce inside Claude. Its first piece, announced with Anthropic on August 26, 2026, is the Salesforce in Claude plugin with 37 prebuilt sales skills such as meeting prep, deal health and pipeline review. Salesforce says Claude is the first model provider fully integrated inside its trust boundary, served through Amazon Bedrock, which matters to regulated industries. At Dreamforce, Salesforce listed Claudeforce as beta.
Slackforce brings Salesforce data, apps and workflows into Slack, where many teams already discuss deals and escalations, under the same Salesforce permissions. Salesforce listed it as generally available in October 2026. Separately, Salesforce made Claude the default model for Slackbot.
Agentforce Coworker is the AI teammate inside Salesforce itself. It answers plain-language questions across your CRM, Slack and other connected sources, and when asked to do a task it builds a plan and hands steps to other agents. Salesforce lists it as generally available.
Why this matters more than another AI feature
For most of Salesforce's history, getting value from Salesforce meant getting people to log in and use the screens. AIforce assumes many people will not: sellers living in Claude, managers in Slack, everyone asking questions instead of building reports. That raises the stakes on two things buyers tend to postpone. First, permissions: an assistant that sees what a user can see will surface every record your sharing model exposes. Second, data quality: a confident AI summary of a stale pipeline is worse than no summary.
Who this affects
- Sales teams that already use Claude or want to, and the admins who would connect it
- Companies running Slack alongside Salesforce
- Every Salesforce org, because Agentforce Coworker is generally available
- Security and compliance teams approving AI on customer data
What to do now
- Audit sharing and field-level security first. Check what a typical rep, manager and support agent can see, including notes, files and fields with sensitive data. Fix over-broad access before any AI surface goes live.
- Decide which surface owns which job. Write down which workflows belong in Claude, in Slack, in Agentforce agents and in plain Salesforce Flow, so teams do not build the same thing three times.
- Ask Salesforce about Claudeforce eligibility and terms. It is in beta. Confirm whether your org can join, which Claude plans are supported, and the data-handling commitments, and get security and legal reviewing early.
- Fix the pipeline data the skills will read. Deal health and pipeline skills are only as good as stages, close dates, next steps and contact roles. Clean those up for one team and pilot there.
- Retest existing agents. Salesforce made Claude the default model for Agentforce Coworker and Agentforce Vibes and a reasoning model for the Atlas Reasoning Engine. Run your agent tests again after model changes rather than assuming the same behavior.
Our take
We are a Claude Partner Network Certified Services Partner and a Salesforce partner, so this is the overlap we work in every day. The technology is the easy part. The projects that go well start with a permissions review and one clean, well-owned dataset, then pilot one team on one surface before expanding.

Questions people are asking
Is AIforce a product I buy?
Salesforce describes AIforce as an interface layer made up of Claudeforce, Slackforce and Agentforce Coworker. Its announcement did not give AIforce its own price, so ask your account team how each part is licensed for your edition.
Can Claude see all of my Salesforce data through Claudeforce?
Salesforce says AIforce is governed by your existing permissions, and actions route through Salesforce so business rules still apply. In practice Claude can reach what the connected user can reach, so your sharing model is the control.
Do my users need Claude to use Claudeforce?
Yes. Claudeforce runs inside Claude, so users need access to Claude. Confirm with Salesforce which Claude plans the beta supports.
Is Agentforce Coworker turned on in my org?
Salesforce lists Agentforce Coworker as generally available and began enabling it for eligible orgs in 2026. Check Setup or ask your account team, and review what data it can reach.
